This DVD is one of the only ones I’ve seen that really does the job of teaching you co-ordination.
Thomas plays exercises on the kit, then on practice pads, to really break down the idea. Disc 2
has a DVD ROM feature so you can print off the exercises to practice with the DVD. The exercises
have a strong emphasis on 4-way interdependence. The aim being, to have equal speed and control
of both feet and hands. They seem fairly easy when slowed down but then he plays them at a terrifying
speed and combines them into dazzling solos to round off each section. There is also a section of
stick tricks and a solo with 5 hi-hats, which defies belief.
